Charles R Walter
Charles R. Walter was an engineer for several manufacturers in the 60’s and 70’s, eventually starting his own company in 1975 and the Walter piano is now one of only three American-made pianos today. The company is a family run business with each piano signed by Mr. Walter himself upon inspection. Dealers and technicians report that doing business with the Walters is a pleasure in itself and we heartily agree! They are a family grounded on high ethical standards interested in delivering and standing behind the highest quality piano built today. These instruments come with a Twelve year full warranty (longest in the industry - warranty is transferable to subsequent owners and covers not only parts, but also labor, the most expensive part of any piano repair).

We believe that the Walter upright is the best and most beautiful vertical piano built today. Exceptionally long keys that are individually weighted, solid spruce soundboards, Delignit pinblocks, all Renner actions, solid hard-core lumber in all cabinetry, fantastic engineering, with beautifully designed and finished cabinets. Careful scale design gives the uprights a sound comparable to a 5’8” grand piano! A true heirloom quality instrument like pianos built 100 years ago. LAFARGUE PIANOS, Ltd. is offering these pianos at fantastic savings and each and every piano is truly brought to a concert level of preparation with meticulous tuning, regulation and voicing. When you select a Walter piano, you become part of an American success story. We have a good selection of Walter pianos and are proud to represent the Walter family.

Mason & Hamlin closed down in late 1994. In April 1996 Kirk and Gary Burgett, owners of Music Systems Research bought the assets of the company and announced plans to continue production of Mason & Hamlin, Knabe and Sohmer.

The Falcone piano is currently made in China by the Sejung Corporation. The materials and workmanship are outstanding and as technicians and rebuilders, we believe that it is a fantastic value and a well-made instrument. It has the longest warranty in the industry (12 years) and comes in a wide variety of styles. We spend a lot of time prepping these instruments and you will be impressed with the tone and overall performance of these instruments.
